Artist's Background
I have been
interested in painting since I was a child.
I started painting as an adult while living in Idaho where my
husband was stationed in the US Air Force.
I began taking oil and watercolor classes at local schools in
several of the many places I lived in the U.S. and overseas while my
husband continued his career. After arriving in the Niceville, Florida, area in 1985, I began
studying with Lynn Rackley, at Okaloosa-Walton College, and with other local artists.
Although I have had several paintings commissioned, the 2002
Destin Festival of the Arts was my first non-student competition.
My favorite subjects are pets and unique buildings.
